Terms of Service

Welcome to MoveM8. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MoveM8 mobile application and related services (together, the "Service") operated by Vanta Flows ("MoveM8", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use MoveM8. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to update it if it changes. You may not share your account or impersonate another person.

3. Community Standards and Objectionable Content

Zero tolerance policy. MoveM8 has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content or behaviour that violates these standards will result in the content being removed and the user being ejected from the Service, typically within 24 hours of a confirmed report.

You agree NOT to post, upload, transmit, or share any content that is:

Hateful, discriminatory, or harassing toward any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
Sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive
Violent, threatening, or graphically disturbing
Related to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind; we report all such content to law enforcement
Defamatory, libelous, or false
Promoting illegal activity, self-harm, or dangerous behaviour
Spam, scams, phishing, or otherwise deceptive
Infringing on anyone's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
Used to impersonate any person or entity

You also agree NOT to use the Service to:

Harass, bully, stalk, or threaten other users
Collect other users' personal information without consent
Attempt to circumvent blocks, restrictions, or bans
Create multiple accounts to evade enforcement actions
Use bots or automated tools to access the Service

4. Reporting and Enforcement

If you see content or behaviour that violates these Terms, use the report feature inside the app. We review reports and act on violations within 24 hours, which may include:

Removing the offending content
Warning, restricting, or suspending the offending user's account
Permanently banning repeat or severe offenders from the Service
Reporting to law enforcement where legally required

You can also use the block feature to immediately prevent another user from contacting you or seeing your content.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you create and share on MoveM8. By posting content, you grant MoveM8 a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the Service for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and other users.

6. Activities and Events

MoveM8 is a platform for discovering and joining social activities. MoveM8 is not a party to any activity or event organized through the Service. You are solely responsible for your own safety when attending any activity. You should exercise the same caution you would when meeting anyone in person.

7. Verification

Some users are "Verified" after completing identity checks. Verification indicates MoveM8 has reviewed certain information but does not guarantee a user's identity, intent, or suitability. Always use your own judgement.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account from within the app at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, your account is disabled immediately and all associated data is permanently removed after 30 days. During the 30-day period you can log back in to cancel deletion.

9. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. MoveM8 is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or interactions with other users.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Pretoria.
